I am devastated over the Haiti earthquake tragedy. My heart goes out to all the families who have lost love ones as well as the families still trying to account for their loved ones who are currently missing. It is so sad that Haiti was already one of the poorest countries in the world. With that being said, Charleston is on a fault and we should all consider getting earthquake insurance. Especially if you live downtown Charleston, Mount Pleasant or Summerville. We have been shopping around and finally decided to go with Horace Mann. Not only were they the cheapest for Earthquake Insurance, they also had the best value for Home Owners Insurance. Travelers was the next best option and they also were cheaper than Horace Mann for car insurance. Take the time to make sure you are covered because it would be devastating if we did have an earthquake one day and you did not have the insurance to cover your losses.
